260 days after being given up by owners, shelter dog Major is losing hope and “cries endlessly” 😢💔 But the shelter thinks there’s a perfect home for him somewhere — check the comments to learn more about Major 👇
Major, a four-year-old mixed terrier and pitbull at the Hamilton County Humane Society in Indiana, has been crying nonstop for over 260 days after being rejected by his former owners. Once a joyful, playful dog who loved his Jolly Ball and was affectionately called “Major hunk” and “Major heartthrob” by shelter staff, Major’s spirit has sadly dimmed due to repeated adoption pass-overs.
Originally a “sweet and sensitive” dog with a big heart, Major has moved from the kennel to the shelter’s visiting room to reduce his stress. Staff say he would do best in a home without small children or cats and recommend a meet-and-greet since he gets along well with other dogs but sometimes doesn’t realize his own strength.
Major’s adoption page invites anyone ready for a loving, strong, and playful companion to consider giving him a forever home. The shelter and community hope this once-hopeful dog finds a family soon before his sadness deepens further.
