Man Tattoos 95% Of His Body, Reveals What He Looked Like Before He Had Any

Note: This story originally made news in December 2021.

Tristan Weigelt, a 25-year-old originally from America and now living in Copenhagen, has spent nearly £40,000 transforming his appearance through tattoos. Since getting his first piece in 2016, Tristan has endured over 260 hours under the needle, covering 95% of his body — sparing only his palms, private areas, soles of his feet, and ears.

Inspired by Japanese tradition, his standout feature is a full orange tattoo suit with a dragon stretching across his back. Despite initial disapproval from his parents and stares from strangers, Tristan says he has no regrets.

“On the inside, I’m still the same old me,” he shares, adding that while the physical journey has been one of pain and healing, it’s also brought self-discovery.

Now a popular figure on Instagram, Tristan hopes to encourage others exploring tattoo culture, advising them to choose art that resonates personally rather than chasing trends. He notes that what once felt unimaginable has become a vital, unapologetic part of who he is.

His story stands as a bold celebration of individuality and the evolving acceptance of extreme body art.
