Joe Biden Diagnosed with Aggressive Cancer, Steps Away from Politics

Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with stage nine prostate cancer, confirmed to be aggressive and having spread to the bone. Despite the seriousness, doctors say it remains hormone-sensitive and could respond to treatment.

This marks another chapter in Biden’s ongoing health battles—he previously had skin cancer removed and a pre-cancerous polyp. Deeply connected to cancer advocacy after losing his son Beau to brain cancer, Biden spearheaded the “Cancer Moonshot” initiative during his presidency.

Following his diagnosis, Biden announced he’s stepping back from politics for the good of the country. Donald Trump and other former presidents issued unusually warm statements, wishing him strength and recovery.

Biden shared a photo with his wife and cat, writing: “Cancer touches us all. Jill and I have learned we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”
