Hannah Glass, a 19-year-old college freshman in Wisconsin, tragically died after an allergic reaction to a homemade brownie containing roasted peanut flour, an ingredient she didn’t know was in the treat. Despite her usual caution due to a severe peanut allergy, she suffered a rapid and severe reaction leading to a collapsed lung and brain damage.

Despite medical efforts, Hannah passed away on November 10, 2024. Her family held a heartfelt “Honor Walk” before organ donation, and her organs saved four lives. Her parents now urge others to be vigilant about food allergies and keep EpiPens updated.

Hannah’s story is a powerful reminder of the dangers of hidden allergens and the importance of awareness.
