He admitted to spending ‘about £1,000 a day’ on prostitutes alone 😳
Michael Carroll, a former UK binman, won £10 million from a £1 lottery ticket in 2002 at age 19. Despite gifting money to family and investing some, he quickly became infamous for wild spending on drugs, cars, and parties—burning through the entire fortune in eight years.
Nicknamed the “Lotto lout,” Carroll admitted to heavy cocaine use, alcohol abuse, and hosting extravagant orgies that cost up to £50,000 a night. He faced threats, violence, and the loss of several pets during his chaotic lifestyle.
By 2010, the money was gone, and he reapplied for his old job. Despite losing it all, Carroll later said he had no regrets: “The best 10 years of my life for a pound.”
