Riona Kelly, 37, from Yorkshire, suffered a spinal stroke in 2015 that left her paralyzed from the waist down. Just days into her hospital stay, her husband of 14 years left her, though he later said he had requested a divorce before her stroke.

Despite a grim prognosis, Riona fought through intense physiotherapy and took her first steps again, surprising her doctors. During rehab, she met personal trainer Keith Mason, who became her boyfriend and supported her recovery.
