Father’s Disney World Disappointment Goes Viral Over High Costs
Craig Stowell, a Florida dad of three, went viral on TikTok after sharing his frustration about the high costs of a single-day Disney World trip, which totaled $1,391.91. In his May 6, 2025 video, he expressed disappointment with long lines and expensive tickets, including a $974 cost for five tickets, $245 for dinner, and $30 for parking. He also criticized Disney’s Lightning Passes, which would have cost an additional $400 to skip lines.
Disney’s prices have been rising, with single-day passes for 2025 ranging from $119 to $199. This pricing strategy has led to concerns about affordability, especially for day-trippers like Stowell, who feel penalized compared to multi-day guests.
Stowell’s video resonated with many, as it highlights the increasing financial strain on families trying to enjoy affordable entertainment. The video sparked widespread debate, with some defending Disney and others empathizing with Stowell’s frustrations, particularly regarding the park’s pricing model, which seems out of touch with working-class families.
Stowell, who wasn’t expecting such widespread support, now questions whether future trips to Disney World are worth the cost.
