Nicole Hall, a teacher and mom from the U.S., is on a mission to show the world that beauty comes in all forms. Her daughter Winry was born in February 2021 with a rare birthmark called congenital melanocytic nevi (CMN), which covers a quarter of her face.

At first, Nicole was shocked and concerned, mistaking the mark for a bruise. Doctors reassured her that Winry was healthy, but CMN can carry a risk of melanoma, so the family takes precautions like regular dermatology visits and strict sun protection.

Now, Nicole uses social media to raise awareness and celebrate Winry’s uniqueness, hoping to inspire others to embrace differences and show children that being different is beautiful.

“She just radiates joy,” Nicole says. “She’s the happiest baby I’ve ever seen.”
