According to her, working topless shouldn’t be “distracting” as it’s a “natural thing” – more photos and her story in the comments 👇🏻
A Sydney tradeswoman, Shianne Fox — known as “The Bikini Tradie” — went viral after questioning a workplace double standard: why can men work shirtless in extreme heat, but women can’t?
On a 40°C (104°F) day, Fox expressed frustration on TikTok, saying she was told to keep her shirt on while male coworkers worked shirtless. “It’s sexist,” she said. “I just want equal treatment. Breasts are natural — if they’re ‘distracting,’ maybe people need to grow up.”
Fox, who often works in a bikini top, argues for comfort and equality in a male-dominated field. Critics, however, say professionalism matters — and some female tradies feel her content (which includes adult material) hurts the credibility of women in trades.
The debate ignited thousands of comments — from support to sarcasm. Meanwhile, a 2023 survey shows women are still heavily underrepresented in trade jobs, with a 12:1 male-to-female ratio.
Whether you see it as a bold stance or a distraction, the conversation touches on deeper issues of gender norms, workplace standards, and representation in blue-collar industries.
