A married man in Taiwan sought medical help after noticing a painful build-up of smegma in his penis, which had accumulated over 30 years. While showering, he felt pain and noticed hardened bits of dirt, mistakenly thinking they were kidney stones. He visited urologist Dr. Chen Zhaoan, who discovered a yellow-brown smegma build-up beneath the man’s foreskin, emitting a foul odor.
The man had never retracted his foreskin for cleaning, unaware it could be done. Dr. Chen noted that excessive smegma build-up is seen in patients about every two years and urged men to clean their genital area daily with water and soap. He emphasized the importance of seeking medical advice if any issues arise.
