In November 2020, skateboarder Brooklinn Khoury’s life changed when her cousin’s pit bull unexpectedly bit her, severely injuring her upper lip. Despite the trauma, she stayed calm and sought help—eventually using a photo taken mid-attack to guide doctors during surgery.

Brooklinn didn’t hide. She openly shared her physical and emotional recovery on Instagram, admitting the pain of seeing herself post-surgery but learning to embrace her new self with confidence and gratitude.

She refused to let the injury define her. From skating to shopping for lip gloss, Brooklinn celebrated her femininity and resilience, breaking away from social media perfection.

Today, she’s in a happy relationship with Dance Moms star Chloé Lukasiak and uses her platform to support others facing physical or mental challenges. “If you need someone to talk to, I’m here,” she says.
