Seven-year-old Landen was selling lemonade and cookies near his home when Officer J. Perez of the Ansonia Police Department stopped by to chat. Landen shared his goal of earning enough money to buy blue sneakers for school.

After their friendly conversation, Officer Perez left but returned shortly with a surprise—a brand-new pair of blue sneakers for Landen.

The young boy was overjoyed, with his grandmother, Wendelyn Narvaez, expressing gratitude: “He made my baby’s day and made him feel like a king.”
