What began as a romantic honeymoon in the scenic hills of Meghalaya has turned into a chilling murder case involving betrayal and calculated violence.
Sonam Raghuvanshi, once living a seemingly happy life in Indore with her husband Raja, is now the prime suspect in his brutal killing. Raja’s body was found in a remote forest, next to a bloodied machete—his life cut short far from home.
The case took a dramatic turn when Sonam appeared at a roadside eatery in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, and surrendered to police. Investigators now believe she masterminded the murder with the help of her alleged lover, Raj Kushwaha, and three others—Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Anand—all in their twenties.
The group reportedly lured Raja to Meghalaya under the guise of a honeymoon, only to carry out the planned attack. After her surrender, Sonam was held in a women’s shelter and is now being transported to Shillong for further investigation.
Post-mortem reports show Raja suffered two fatal head injuries, pointing to a premeditated crime. A Special Investigation Team is working to reconstruct the timeline and uncover each suspect’s role in the murder.
What started as a love story has become a national headline—a shocking tale of deceit, betrayal, and a murder allegedly orchestrated by the one person he trusted most.
