If you’re the type to jump up and grab your bag the second the plane lands, beware—Turkey is taking action.

The Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation has ordered cabin crews to penalize passengers who ignore disembarkation rules, such as:

* Unbuckling seatbelts before the plane fully stops
* Standing before the plane stops taxiing
* Opening overhead bins too early
* Rushing the aisle ahead of their turn

Violators can be fined up to 2,603 Turkish lira (\~\$67 USD).

Officials stress these rules help keep order and passenger safety intact. So, if you’re flying through Turkey, stay seated and patient until your row is called—it’s worth avoiding the fine and annoying your fellow travelers!
