Woman Demands Nestle ‘Give In’ To Her Demand, Company Issues Statement In Response

**Note: This story was originally published in February 2016.**

A London college student, Salma Ahmad, made headlines after demanding a lifetime supply of Kit Kats from Nestlé when she purchased several bars without any wafers inside.

Ahmad, a fan of the candy, claimed Nestlé failed in its duty to maintain consistency and said the defective bars caused her “monetary and emotional” loss. In a letter to the company, she requested a refund and free Kit Kats for life so she could “act as a means of quality control.”

After not receiving a response, Ahmad said she might take legal action and hoped the Nestlé CEO would personally address her complaint. A company spokesperson encouraged her to get in touch again.

The story quickly went viral, with many online mocking her demand as over-the-top and entitled.
