π Mother speaks out after 7-month-old baby is mauled to death by family pit bull, father has also made a statement π
A family in Ohio is devastated by the tragic loss of their 7-month-old daughter, Elizah Renee Lynn Turner, after a pit bull attacked her unexpectedly. Just days before, Elizahβs mother, Mackenzie, had shared joyful photos of her baby with the family dogs. However, on April 9, one of the pit bulls turned violent, leaving Mackenzie and her partner, Kameron, shattered.
In a heart-wrenching Facebook post, Mackenzie expressed her grief, saying she couldnβt understand why this happened, as the dog had always been close to Elizah. Kameron also shared his sorrow, asking how he could go on without her.
Police have stated that the attack was a tragic accident and no charges will be filed, as there was no sign of neglect. Elizah is remembered fondly as a happy, spunky baby whose presence lit up every room.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help the family with funeral expenses, raising over $3,500 of the $15,000 goal. The family is deeply appreciative of the support from their community.
