It’s nothing to do with your heart😲
If you have health anxiety, every symptom can seem like cancer or a heart attack — but often, it’s something minor, like precordial catch syndrome. Also called chest wall twinge syndrome, it causes sharp chest pain that worsens with breathing but is harmless, doesn’t spread to other areas, and isn’t linked to heart or lung disease.
Experts believe it’s due to irritation or pinched nerves in the chest, often triggered by poor posture or light activity. It usually affects older kids and young adults during growth spurts, lasting just a few seconds to minutes. Sitting up straight and breathing slowly can help ease the pain, and it typically fades away with age.
