Absolutely horrifying. Pra:yers for her. Details in comments 👇
Australian traveler Erin Langworthy miraculously survived a 360-foot fall into crocodile-infested waters after her bungee cord snapped during a 2012 jump over Zambia’s Zambezi River.
What began as a thrill turned terrifying when the cord broke mid-air, sending her plunging into the fast-moving river. Footage of the fall was later shared online.
Despite her feet being tied and the cord catching on rocks, Langworthy managed to stay afloat and was eventually rescued by a staff member. She was taken to a hospital in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, arriving hours later and treated for partially collapsed lungs, exhaustion, and water-related infections—but had no broken bones.
Langworthy later recalled coughing up blood and struggling to process what happened. Ironically, before the jump, she had sent her mom a postcard joking about saying goodbye—a note that’s now a cherished reminder of her incredible survival.
