Elvis Presley’s 1962 Private Jet Is Up For Auction – Here’s How It Looks Inside

Elvis Presley’s 1962 Lockheed 1329 JetStar—once a symbol of his superstar lifestyle—is heading to auction this January. Bought by Elvis in 1976 for $840,000, the jet features red velvet seats, wood paneling, and vintage amenities like a TV, VCR, and drink dispenser.

After his death in 1977, the plane ended up in a New Mexico aircraft graveyard. It last sold in 2017 for $430,000 and now returns to the market, offering fans a rare chance to restore it.

Though it’s missing its engine and cockpit parts, Mecum Auctions calls it an “incredible restoration opportunity.” The sale includes documents signed by Elvis, adding to its collector value.

Presley’s passion for flying was well-known—his private fleet included the famous “Lisa Marie” and two JetStars dubbed “Hound Dog 1” and “Hound Dog 2.” This auction is more than a sale—it’s a tribute to the King’s enduring legacy.
