The bride lost her entire family – including her mother 💔

What should’ve been the happiest day of their lives turned into a nightmare for Haneen and Revan.

During their wedding in Qaraqosh, Iraq, a fire broke out—reportedly caused by fireworks—killing over 100 people and injuring at least 150. The flames spread rapidly due to flammable ceiling materials.

Revan recalled grabbing Haneen and fleeing through a kitchen door, but many of their loved ones didn’t make it. Haneen lost 10 family members, including her mother and brother. Her father remains in critical condition.

“There was only one extinguisher, and it didn’t work,” Revan said. “We’re alive, but we’re dead inside.”

Following the tragedy, 14 people were arrested, and Iraq’s Prime Minister has demanded severe punishments for those responsible.

The couple says they can no longer live in their hometown: “Every time we try to be happy, tragedy follows.”
