On set with co-star Ewan McGregor, she portrayed Barbara Weston, a woman facing family struggles after their alcoholic patriarch goes missing. Wearing layered tops and loose jeans, Julia’s normally glamorous look was toned down for the role.

During an intense scene, Ewan held Julia’s hand as they walked to identify a dead body. Overcome with emotion, she burst into tears in his arms. However, between takes, she was seen laughing with co-star Julianne Nicholson.

Other cast members include Meryl Streep, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Juliette Lewis, who replaced Andrea Riseborough as Karen Weston. Abigail Breslin won the role of Jean Fordham over Chloë Moretz.
