This is the story of my father, Pit, a dedicated and skilled plumber who prided himself on his craftsmanship. One day, he was hired by the Carlisles to renovate their bathroom. Everything went smoothly until the final day, when they refused to pay the full amount, claiming dissatisfaction with the tiles they had chosen themselves. They offered only half the agreed price and dismissed him rudely.

Rather than walk away defeated, my father decided to teach them a memorable lesson. He completed the job but mixed sugar and honey into the mortar instead of water. The bathroom looked flawless initially, but within weeks, ants and cockroaches began invading through the grout. No amount of pest control could stop the infestation, and even a remodel didn’t solve the problem.

The Carlisles were stuck with a buggy nightmare, and my father couldn’t help but laugh at updates from their neighbor. Though harsh, he felt justified—reputation was everything, and being cheated wasn’t an option. This clever, if brutal, act of justice ensured he’d never be taken advantage of again.
