• A 7.0-magnitude earthquake ruptured off California at about 10:45 a.m. PT Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

• The quake triggered a tsunami warning for the coast of Northern California and southern Oregon, which was canceled just before 12 p.m. PT.

• The 7.0-magnitude earthquake is one of roughly 17 events that rattled Northern California today.
