Texas recently dedicated a new section of its southern border wall to Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old tragically murdered by two undocumented immigrants. Her death, along with others, has intensified calls for stricter border controls.

State Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham announced The Jocelyn Initiative, a plan to use state-owned land for deportation facilities and support the Trump administration’s immigration policies. As part of the initiative, a 1,400-acre ranch has been offered for detention and deportation operations.

Speaking alongside Jocelynโ€™s family, Buckingham emphasized the stateโ€™s resolve: โ€œWe will not tolerate another innocent life lost to violent criminals crossing the border illegally.โ€

This initiative aims to address public safety concerns and reinforce Texasโ€™ commitment to border security.
